When samplers first became available they were incredibly expensive machines that only the most famous musicians could afford and the first samplers which could be described as "afforfable" had less than 1mb of ram. Today most people tend to use software samplers as modern computers have plenty of ram and large hard drives for storage. Some software samplers allow for samples to be streamed directly from the hard disk which means that absolutely huge libraries can be used.
As there are a large number of software samplers currently available we have chosen to support only some of them as most can import wav files, which are available in the EXS24 and Kontakt libraries anyway.
You will find a complete list of the samplers we currently support over to the left, simply click on the title to be taken to a page which will show you which of our current products are compatible with your chosen sampler.
Hardware Samplers
Although we at Defective Nation own a number of hardware samplers we have chosen not to support them directly. However, if you purchase our products in the EXS24 or Kontakt format you will find that these contain wav files which can be transfered over to nearly all midi compatible hardware samplers.
